Saskia Vogel at Deep Vellum Books (Dallas)
May 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pmFree
Join us for the Dallas launch of Swedish translator SASKIA VOGEL‘s debut novel, PERMISSION (Coach House Books). Saskias has translated Jessica Schiefauer‘s novel GIRLS LOST for Deep Vellum, & we’ll publish it in March 2020! Tonight we’ll be discussing everything from sexuality to writing and translation!
Permission is a kind of love story about three people sick with dreams and expectations who turn to the erotic for comfort and cure. As they stumble through the landscape of desire, they ask themselves: how do I want to be loved?
Saskia will be joined in conversation by writer and editor, Maria Dimitrova.
SASKIA VOGEL grew up in Los Angeles and currently lives in Berlin, where she works as a writer and Swedish-to-English literary translator.
