Serhiy Zhadan will be reading excerpts from Voroshilovgrad, which is available this April in English, and a selection of poems. BBC Ukraine named Voroshilovgrad BBC Book of the Year in 2010 and BBC Book of the Decade in 2014.

Mr. Zhadan is a pro-Ukrainian activist and public intellectual who has become a voice of Ukraine’s “Euro-Maidan” movement. He has been vocal about finding solutions that make Ukraine a safe space for Russian and Ukrainian speakers.
