A contribution of $100,000 represents a transformative gift for Deep Vellum. A gift at this level will cover the costs for approximately one-fifth of our annual publishing output, including, for example, the editorial, printing, and promotional costs of many books. Gifts to the Perennial Fund help support the longevity of Deep Vellum for readers and writers around the world and right here in Texas. You can help us continue to publish great works long past this year.

It costs approximately $25,000 to produce a novel, from manuscript to editing, from production to promotional events. A contribution of $25,000 could allow us publish an entire novel from beginning to end or have a similarly sized impact on our organization. Interested in funding a specific work? Let us know!

A gift of $5,000 covers the cost of activities such as sending one of our authors on a US tour and organizing the literary events for their tour. Our writers visit big and small cities across the United States to do readings at independent bookstores, universities, schools, and literary festivals. We also make sure to host plenty of events here in Texas to benefit readers of all backgrounds in our home state.

Your support will help us do crucial work such as pay an author for the right to publish their work. We love supporting debut authors and well-known writers alike. Let us know if you want to support a particular writer.
