There’s a lot going on this upcoming month at Deep Vellum! We’re hosting our Book Club, where translator Shelby Vincent will lead a discussion on Carmen Boullosa’s Heavens on Earth; we’ll be at the American Library Association Conference as a part of the Global Literature in Libraries Initiative; and there are three award ceremonies coming up that our books are nominated for! Each month we’re exploring a different Deep Vellum title, moderated by the Deep Vellum team!
This month, we’ll be joined by translator Shelby Vincent as we talk about Heavens on Earth by Mexican author Carmen Boullosa!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Three narrators from different historical eras are each engaged in preserving history in Carmen Boullosa’s Heavens on Earth. Deep Vellum at the American Library Association Conference
Deep Vellum will be at the ALA Conference in New Orleans, June 21-25! We’ll be with hanging out with other great publishers at booth #711 as a part of the Global Literature in Libraries Initiative. This initiative seeks to promote world literature in translation in libraries so that more adults and children can have access to the wonderful literature other countries and languages have to offer. Drop by our booth if you’re in the area—we’d love to see you!
